Hi, I'm Onome!

I'm a content strategist, SEO/AEO specialist, and editorial leader based in Nigeria.

I write content that ranks on Google and gets cited by AI search engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Copilot Search. Not many people can say both. I can, with receipts.

But the writing is only half of what I do.

I also build the systems behind it - content briefs, style guides, editorial workflows, quality gates, freelancer management. The whole engine.

What I've built

As Editor-in-Chief at AutoGPT, I shaped the content operation from its early days and drove the strategy behind 200+ published articles, multiple #1 Google rankings, and verified AI engine citations.

I built the editorial scoring system, developed a proprietary AEO methodology, and managed the team producing 30+ optimized articles a month.

At Fireflies.ai, I write high-performance SEO blog content - new articles and strategic refreshes - with the kind of brief compliance and competitive accuracy that editors don't have to chase me about.

At CareerBuddy, I built a newsletter from scratch to a 36% open rate and 8% CTR - nearly double and triple industry averages - with 100k+ subscriber growth.

How I got here

My path into content wasn't typical.

I hold a BSc in Human Nutrition and Dietetics and an MSc in Public Health Nutrition from the University of Ibadan.

Before I ever wrote a meta description, I was writing research papers, analyzing data, and learning how to make complex information genuinely useful to real people.

That research-first mindset didn't go away - it became my edge. It's why I verify pricing against official product pages instead of copying what some listicle says.

It's why I built a quality framework that checks for EEAT signals, not just keyword density. And it's why my content holds up when someone actually scrutinizes it.

What started as writing turned into strategy, then editorial leadership, then building full content operations.

I went from producing individual articles to owning entire pipelines - the systems, the teams, the methodology.

That progression is what led me to SEO, then to GEO and AEO as search evolved.
